Diabetes Education

We offer diabetes education classes for adults and children by referral only. If you have diabetes, ask your provider to refer you to our diabetes education program.

Diabetes classes are held at the following clinics:

• Innercare – Brawley
• Innercare – Calexico
• Innercare – El Centro

The diabetes education covers the following objectives:

• Learn what diabetes is
• Learn why the A1C test is important
• Learn the signs of high and low blood sugar
• Learn how to count carbohydrates
• Learn how often you should eat
• Learn seven self-care behaviors
