Coronavirus Updates
Masks are required at Innercare
Effective March 1, 2022, California’s requirement that unvaccinated individuals wear masks in indoor public settings is now a strong recommendation and no longer a requirement. However, universal masking is still required in specified high-risk settings including all Innercare clinics.

Coronavirus FAQs
What is Coronavirus (COVID-19)?
COVID-19 is a newly identified respiratory virus that can spread easily. It shares several symptoms with influenza, but it’s treated differently. COVID-19 infection may appear two to 14 days after exposure and can include fever, cough, and shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.
How is it spread?
Human Coronavirus is most commonly spread through:
- Coughing and sneezing
- Close personal contact, such as touching or shaking hands
- Touching an object or surface with the virus on it, then touching your mouth, nose, or eyes before washing your hands
- Rarely, fecal contamination
What if I may have been exposed?
If you are experiencing a fever, cough, shortness of breath or other flu-like symptoms and want to be seen by a medical provider, please call your nearest health center to speak with a staff member before coming to one of our health centers.
When to seek medical attention?
If you develop any of these emergency warning signs* for COVID-19, get medical attention immediately:
- Trouble breathing
- Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
- New confusion

*This list is not all inclusive. Please consult your medical provider for any other symptoms that are severe or concerning to you.
Call 911 if you have a medical emergency: Notify the operator that you have, or think you might have, COVID-19. If possible, put on a cloth face covering before medical help arrives.
How can I protect myself and stop the spread?
