Clinical learning
Innercare’s Family Medicine Residency Program was created to address the shortage of primary care physicians in the Coachella and Imperial Valleys. Residents will train in Federally Qualified Health Centers and hospital partner sites, providing patient-centered, team-based care and graduating ready to practice with confidence in rural and resource-limited settings.
Residents will care for their own patient panel for three years in an NCQA-recognized Patient-Centered Medical Home, using panel management and population health data to improve outcomes for their patients and community.
Prenatal care in continuity clinic, labor and delivery and newborn care at Eisenhower Medical Center, and inpatient pediatrics at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, caring for whole families in diverse, largely Spanish-speaking communities.
Integrated behavioral health and chronic disease management, including diabetes, alongside behavioral health specialists, case managers, and Community Health Workers and Promotoras, with home visits through Enhanced Care Management.
